Travel Suggestions
I've been fortunate enough to do a lot of traveling. I tend to seek out offbeat and quirky things everywhere I go. I used to keep a few lists in a Google Doc for when friends asked for suggestions on what to do when visiting places I'd been before.
I've found foursquare lists to be a great way to make lists of "what not to miss" when visiting a particular locale. I've made followable foursquare lists for a few cities that I've lived in/spent time in.
You don't need to use or have an account on Foursquare to enjoy these lists: You can just view them directly in your browser. However, using the foursquare app to view this lists offers the benefit of being able to see places sorted by distance from where you are at the moment, quickly showing what is nearest to you. Foursquare's map and comments for each place also will let you know if a place has closed, changed or moved since I visited it.
